The Story Behind
13thStation
The name came from our clients. The number 13 is considered unlucky by many — but we don't believe in lucky or unlucky numbers, good days or bad days. We engage directly with the living God and numbers mean nothing to us. So when clients joked about our attitude and suggested "the 13th would be a great name," we took it. Station — a place where people arrive and go. That's 13thStation.
13thStation was founded in 2005 by Daniel S, who was a service engineer for UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) at Alpha Zee Systems. He quit the job, completed a Multimedia course at Microcell, then found a position as a graphic designer at BMI — before switching to video editing because it was "more fun and challenging." Editing became his passion and profession. His boss used to call him a Workaholic Maniac. He wore it as a badge of honour.
Films started with AVs, corporate films, fashion show edits, documentaries and serials. Filmmakers in Bangalore loved the edits and started getting more and more work to Daniel. Most of the time was spent in the editing room. The journey as an editor was successful — he slowly set up a small studio, then a bigger place in the centre of Bangalore, and began taking on full video production. Today, 13thStation has a professional chroma shooting floor and editing suite on MG Road — serving corporate clients with end-to-end event solutions including stage setups, LED walls, audio, lighting, booths, architectural designs, badges and much more.
Every film we produce is a challenge to push the limits of creativity and technology. We pay close attention to even the smallest details. 2,000+ projects completed. 200+ corporate clients. 3,000+ happy customers. And we're just getting started.
